“In Passing”
I made this because… I love shooting film. It’s capturing a time and a place as I saw it, and gives space for others to create their own interpretation. It welcomes imperfections and realities that digital doesn’t always accomplish. I regularly shoot landscape, but when I’m ready for something new, I shoot people. Specifically my own flavor of street photography, which welcomes a starkly different style and approach. Photographing people on the move is exhilarating, fast-paced and often intense. When developing the film, the results can be surprising, and often produce unexpected moments I missed when shooting in the field.
"In Passing" is my street photography series that covers fleeting encounters and the stories they tell. Each image captures strangers in candid, unguarded moments, providing a glimpse into their life, mood and environment. It transforms seemingly random encounters into a lasting impression—showcasing the extraordinary within the ordinary—people we’ll never meet, seen just once, yet unforgettable.
